Neighborhood BBQ

I've just returned from vacation and am ready to tackle the next item on my list. First of all, a big thank you to all those who participated in and shopped at the garage sales and the bake sale. Also thank you to all those that donated to the bake sale, I would name you, but I don't even know who you all are. Thank you just the same. The treats were a yummy breakfast and fathers all over got to eat their tie instead of wear it.

Now on to the neighborhood BBQ on Thursday, less than a week away. July has realy snuck up on me. Can you believe the first is wednesday? Below I have copied the info from the flier, just to remind you which side dish to bring. Aubree Luke is rounding up grills, so if you are willing to bring yours out to the park that day, just let her know. (We'll even let your family eat free for donating your propane.)

5th Annual Neighborhood BBQ

Burgers and hot dogs (with the works), and utensils provided.

F-K: Drink (single servings, no cups provided),
L-Q: Salad (pasta, fruit, potato, green),

Hope to see you there! And have a safe holiday weekend, surrounded by friends and family and enjoying our freedoms in this great land.

SPRING IS HERE!!

Spring has finally sprung here in Eagle Pointe! The tulips and daffodils are blooming all around us. The trees are getting their leaves and blossoms. Daily we can see more and more neighbors out in their yards weeding and mowing and planting gardens. You can also see just how many kids we have in our neighborhood now because they are all outside playing and riding bikes. What a wonderful place we have to live! Happy Spring!

Just a quick reminder that the neighborhood Garage & Bake Sale is right around the corner on June 20--only 6 weeks away! Start going through all your treasures and let us know by June 10th if you would like to be on our master map. The EPNEC committee will advertise for the entire neighborhood. Also, we will have a neighborhood "Sneak Peek" the night before for all our neighbors to have the first look. Not to mention, it will help us all get ready.
Please plan now to donate baked goods to our Bake Sale. You can drop any goods off at Lauri Thurber's home the evening of June 19th or even the morning of June 20th. The more deliciousness the better!

Happy Spring! We hope you all enjoy the sunshine as much as we do.

Easter Egg Hunt 2009

Thanks to all of you that came to the park for our Easter egg hunt. It was a screaming success! There were about 2000 eggs scattered throughout the park this year. If I had timed the hunt, it would have ended in 60 seconds flat--those kids are so fast! Also, we want to shout out a big congratulatons to Dillon Stevens for being the winner of our grand prize this year. We hope everyone's Easter weekend was wonderful!

***Thanks to the Zinzer family for taking such great pictures of the event***
